How long does sampling take, and is the fee refundable?

A structural white sample takes 2–3 working days, a combined sample with finishing 5–7, and a digital catalog proof 3–5. The sampling fee covers tooling and labour, and is usually credited in part against a subsequent bulk order.

Folding cartons 10–15 days, luxury gift boxes 15–25, books and catalogs 10–18, paper bags and office printing 7–12. These are production times after sample approval; during peak season (the two months before Mid-Autumn, and the month before Spring Festival) we suggest ordering two weeks earlier.

The plant is at Building A Complex, No.109 Feng'an Road, Pinghu Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, with over 8,000㎡ of self-owned factory space — about ten minutes' drive from the Pinghu exit of the Qingping Expressway. Visits are welcome by appointment; please confirm by phone one business day ahead.

Yes. Standard orders ship from Shenzhen to destinations across China; you may nominate a carrier or have us dispatch on your behalf. Export orders can move through Yantian Port, or be handed over to our overseas contact points for local customs clearance and delivery.

Which paper should I use for a catalog?

Accepted Answer

Text pages are typically 157gsm matte art or 157–250gsm gloss art; for a distinctive feel, choose a textured art paper. Covers are best at 250–300gsm with matte lamination. For high page counts (over 96p) use lightweight paper to control bulk and weight.

What is the difference between foil, embossing and spot UV, and how do I choose?

Accepted Answer

Foil presses metallic film for a reflective sheen, suited to logos and borders. Embossing uses matched brass dies to raise relief with no colour at all — light and shadow only — which works well over large graphics. Spot UV lays a gloss image over matte lamination for tactile contrast. All three can be combined, but each additional process needs registration and tolerances accumulate, so sampling matters more.

How do you keep colours consistent between batches?

We calibrate every press to the German Heidelberg colour management workflow and use spectrodensitometers to control solid density and dot gain, holding standard orders to ΔE ≤ 2. We recommend supplying Pantone references, approving samples under standard lighting, and re-sampling whenever paper or finishing changes.

Can you produce sustainable packaging?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Common options include FSC-certified paper, moulded pulp inserts instead of EVA, folded paperboard trays, water-based inks and solvent-free lamination. Moulded pulp requires an aluminium tool and suits medium to large runs; for smaller quantities we recommend folded paperboard structures.

Question 11

Which file formats do you accept, and how should we set up the artwork?

Accepted Answer

Send print-ready PDF, AI, PSD or InDesign files with 3mm bleed on every side and text converted to outlines. Keep images at 300dpi or higher at final size, and set colours to CMYK. If you only have a rough draft, send it anyway — prepress will flag anything that needs fixing before we go on press.

Do you handle export orders, and who pays the import duties?

Accepted Answer

We quote FOB Shenzhen by default, so goods, inland haulage and export clearance sit with us while freight, insurance and import duties sit with you or your agent. Ask for a landed price and we can quote CIF or DAP instead — just tell us the destination port. Our overseas contact points in Vietnam, Mexico, India and the United States can also take over local clearance and delivery.

What payment terms do you work with?

Accepted Answer

Expect a 30% deposit with the balance before shipment, or 50-50 on a first order. We take bank transfer in RMB or USD, and can arrange a letter of credit for larger runs. Customers with a steady order history can apply for monthly settlement.
